Total Time ::: 20:39

::: A very fine listen! Not quite to the usual FM concert recording quality, but respectable by most any taper standards. Sample before you butter yer bread if you wish.
::: Directly recorded FM signal (not miked speakers!), but possibly the original recording was an audience/board matrix or miked up over the audience near the stage like some Amsterdam radio recordings of the same period, though vocals are awfully clear.
::: (*) Hard to figure this date in with the tourlists posted by the kindly Scott Abbot, but R.T. has clearly left the building (so to speak). Someone with more info can perhaps let us know!

Recording Information ::: Radio London FM broadcast -> unknown equipment -> off-air mono(*) master tape -> 1st generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette, Dolby not indicated, but...(see below).

Playback 2011-08-06 ::: 1st generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette on Nakamichi BX-300 cassette deck, Dolby on, azimuth & pitch adjusted, heads cleaned & demagnatized -> Tascam CD-RW900SL pro CD recorder -> CD-RW -> computer, EAC secure -> wavs -> Audacity (fades &/or glitches, volume adjustments, no EQ) -> CD Wave (track splits) -> Trader's Little Helper -> yer ears. First uploaded 2011-10-23
((After a number of listens, it was still unclear whether this was Dolby encoded. So I had to make me choices. Mods recommended not offering both in 2 folders.))

Line-up ::: Dave Swarbrick - violin, vocals // Simon Nicol - guitar, vocals, violin (on track 3) // Dave Pegg - bass, vocals, violin (on track 3) // Dave Mattacks - drums, violin (on track 3)

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

Cool Sonics Series CS-027 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader! ::: Corrections welcome ::: The quality improves after the first song & this is a very enjoyable set. Considering Richard has just left (if the date is correct), musically the band has pulled it together in great form, is very energetic & has a full sound. Still a good season... More recordings on the way. Until recently I had very slow internet access & am fixing my ratio as fast as I can, now that I am able. Enjoy, share, give, spread peace.

Kudos to Zongo for life support & Lochner for mikes & much more. A bow to Fast Freddie for running Video Dick's Record Emporium with the bathroom office full of tape decks. Thanks to Hanwaker (few among us can keep his pace) for over 30 years of trading & friendship. Mountains of gratitude to Davmar, D.White, Sanchez, Elliot, The Florida Kid, Kloiber, Zingg, JTW, Bershaw, Boston Gold, Weeks, Dixon, Moore, Gough & SO many more for all that collecting & sharing... Royal thanks to The Man In The Palace, Doc Tinker, Brinkhoffs, Barely Eatin', Reel Master Gaule, Parrish & all the traders who housed thru my music acquisition & travel years. Hats off to Brother Kent, Uncle Jake, Little Queenie (& her neighbor Frank) & his honor Ptomaine Thomas. Glasses raised to Byron for musical horizon expansion & much obliged to J & Thurston for keepin' my concert fires burnin' since my continental shift. Thanks to the Mods for keepin' DIME alive. Yers truly, Kneesfudd
