Very good sound with some exceptions: starting from track 8 throughout to track 16 the left channel was more or less not existing so I
decided to take only right channel and make mono out of it for these tracks. The other tracks had to be partly be newly levelled between
left and right channel. Some gaps had to be removed and the track listing partly to be reorganized.
Some passages sound as if running too fast but I left them because it would have been extremely difficult to find the limits for
these passages. Some tracks have cuts and accord. to a tracklist on the Werksman page (I Keep A) Close Watch was played on the set
but missing here (see track listing below). On the other hand the track Chinese Envoy is included here but not on the Werksman setlist.
Again as it seems a very rare show. Very intimate atmsophere and the whole gig sounds as if played in a larger living room.
The introduction by an announcer is quite comical as he is postulating not to make recordings or using flashes when taking
photos. There is another mention about smoking Marihuana during the show which I could not quite understand. I think he is saying that it is
allowed but people have to think about the health issues. All in all a very interesting set despite all the quality issues mentioned above.
Nevertheless it would be great to see a better version of the show. Then it could be seen if the left channel problems were already on the
master tape or if they were produced at a later copy.
