I reckon almost every Beatles fan has created their own single disc White Album. Here's mine.
My preferred single disc White Album meets all the usual rules - sides under 25 minutes, obligatory Ringo track, two George tracks, etc.
Side 1
1. Back In The U.S.S.R. (2:43) - McCartney
2. Dear Prudence (3:56) - Lennon
3. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da (3:08) - McCartney
4. While My Guitar Gently Weeps (4:45) - Harrison
5. I'm So Tired (2:03) - Lennon
6. Blackbird (2:18) - McCartney
7. Happiness Is A Warm Gun (2:43) - Lennon
(Length: 21:36)
Side 2
1. Birthday (2:42) - McCartney
2. Yer Blues (4:01) - Lennon
3. Sexy Sadie (3:15) - Lennon
4. Don't Pass Me By (3:51) - Starkey
5. Helter Skelter (3:43 edit) - McCartney
6. Savoy Truffle (2:54) - Harrison
7. Glass Onion (2:16) - Lennon
8. Can You Take Me Back (0:28) - McCartney (not listed on artwork)
(Length: 23:10)
I created a very tight album - no banding. I removed the fade-in from the end of the stereo Helter Skelter (so it's like the mono), which tightens up the track somewhat.
I originally had Cry Baby Cry as the last track, but I replaced it with Glass Onion because I preferred the orchestration. Plus, given the "message" of the track, I think it fits nicely at the end. It's also about the same tempo as Savoy Truffle, so I edited the two to flow as a medley, without missing a beat, with the unlisted Can You Take Me Back ending the album.
