The Beatles - 'Swedish Radio Show' 1963-10-24, Stockholm Sweden, Karlaplans Studio (pitch corrected)
Very good sounding reel source CD of this early (mono, obviously!) radio broadcast! I think this is the best sounding radio broadcast material of the early Beatles in circulation, other than the official BBC releases!
This version pitch corrected by +3.0% as the reel sources for many of the early Beatles material in circulation seem to run too slow in terms of the speed/pitch. (also very slightly re-EQed.)
Even though this CD source is available to buy on many online sellers, it is not an authorized CD, it is a non-authorized live bootleg recording!!! (And i feel bad for anyone that buys it as the pitch is not right!) In fact, there is a version of this CD on youtube, and people have made comments along the lines of "there's something wrong with the way this one sounds"; "the band sounds off" "sluggish" and my favorite: "is that Jimmy Nichols playing drums?" (because the tempos/rhythms don't sound right)! The Real Reason is that the pitch was off, which has now been corrected with this torrent: now you can hear properly how energetic and rockin' the early Beatles were live (of course)!
I think this sounds really great now and i sincerely hope the many, many Beatles fans (and good live music lovers, in general) will be pleased with the sound of this version! ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
