::: VERY fine to EXC stereo FM broadcast. Check samples for validation, but yr put off, yr crazy... This is fantastic!
::: Warts ::: A hint of radio drift here & there. Guitar somewhat poorly miked, which causes a TINY bit of distortion.
::: "Love Is Pleasing" is one of the only known live recordings of Davy & Shirley together, 17 years after their revolutionary "Folk Roots New Routes" was released (and on which they did play a version of this song). Since they played together publicly in the 60s, again in the 70s (I believe) & AGAIN in the 80s for at least some gigs, perhaps you Brit tapers could come forth. There MUST be other recordings.
::: Came labeled GLR-FM but the station wasn't under that name until 1988.

Recording Information & transfer history ::: GLR-FM Radio stereo broadcast -> off-air master tape -> 1st generation cassette -> (circa 199?) DAT -> Sony PCM-501ES digital audio processor -> (circa 199?) PCM digital Beta tape -> Sony PCM-501ES digital audio processor (but analog out, not digital, so 2nd analog generation) -> Tascam CD-RW900SL pro compact disc recorder -> (2011-10-17) 44.1KHz CD-RWs -> computer -> EAC secure -> wav file(s).

Remastering 2011-10-xx & 2014-12-xx ::: wav file(s) -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, NO equalisation] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded week of 2014-12-25.

Line-up ::: Davy Graham - acoustic nylon string guitar // Shirley Collins - vocals (track 5 only).

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline. These tracks are not the same as any released versions. #2,3,6 are not the same as any versions on the "Anthology" box (all carefully compared).

DimeTravel 079 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader! ::: Corrections welcome ::: This is excellent. Recorded before a small studio audience. Davy is solo, in a very relaxed mood & it's more informal & interesting than the BBC 'Journey To The East" performance. Plus Davy sticks to guitar & plays it very well. Too bad he only does instrumentals (and plays nylon guitar strings...), but that's the phase he was in. It reminds me a lot of the first time I saw him, in perhaps 1990 at the 12 Bar in London where the performance was filled with flashes of brilliance. The song with Shirley Collins singing makes up for the lack of vocals on the rest - sublime! Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yers truly, Knees
