Memphis, TN

This is the complete (?) Memphis Demos from 1977, when The Cramps along with their new drummer, Nick Knox, headed down south to the legendary Ardent Studios to kick out some tunes for a planned album. These tracks sound similar to the tracks that have been officially released as the Vengeance 45s and Bad Music For Bad People lp, but these are different takes. The differences are subtle, but there are differences. The three tracks -- TV Set, I Was A Teenage Werewolf and Sunglasses After Dark -- are different than those off of Songs The Lord Taught Us, and you'll hear the differences immediately. Heck, Lux's vocals on Teenage Werewolf are clearly practice ones, too (or, at least, unedited).
