NOTES:
Holy crap, 37 years ago today. This is one of the Sex Pistols' more
infamous gigs; during Pretty Vacant, a fight breaks out between Vivienne
Westwood and someone in the audience. Alledgedly, members of the band
left the stage and got involved, before climbing back on stage to finish
the song. The band would gain a reputation for violence and chaos that
would plague them throughout their career.
This is an OK audience recording, though you can tell whatever was used
to record it couldn't really handle the SPLs too well...there's a bit of
analog squelch and distortion throughout. It seems to run a bit fast at
times as well. I experimented with speed correction, but couldn't quite
find the sweet spot - when the vocals sounded correct, the instruments
sounded out-of-tune, and vice versa. I ultimately decided to leave it the
hell alone and upload a straight EAC rip. I'm not certain if a better
version of this date is in circulation, but at least this one isn't from
lossy sources, unlike pretty much every other version I've found online.
