A great Steve Miller Band concert from the TMoQ tape collection.
Good mono recording from this time period.
This one is a bit overdriven from the heavy bass.
Notice how hard it was for the taper to adjust the recording levels.
That was because this Sennheiser mic was overdriving the recorders input.
The input knob was likely just a tiny bit past it's minimum and just touching it the levels jumped too high.
If Dub had only used a 20dB pad when recording, but he didn't.
The bass was so heavy that equalization was done to reduce it.
Still overdriven in places but nicer sounding now.
