Nobody Sings Dylan Like Dylan, Vol. 29: Time is a Jet Plane
It's been a long time, but after finally getting my hands on the Esquires' (David Rawlings and Gillian Welch) version of "Idiot Wind," I figured it was time for a comeback. There are three others from that same PEN tribute to Dylan, plus lots of other new names and four songs not previously in the series. Plus the Flatt and Scruggs version of "Mama You've Been On My Mind," as seen on The Beverly Hillbillies (where it was dedicated to Granny).
As always, a big thanks to the tapers, the original uploaders, the nice folks who've sent me recordings, the fine artists who've created cover artwork, and especially the performers and composer. An extra big big shout-out to PDiamond for sending me copies of all the earlier volumes after my hd crash; thanks as well to everyone else who offered! Due to the many different sources, I am not including lineages. I have done nothing to the original files but normalize the levels and fade in and out on each track (using Cool Edit).
