Radio City was a pirate radio station located on a disused Army fort on the Shivering Sands in the Thames Estuary. The station started off in Sept 1964 as Radio Sutch, a station started by Screaming Lord Sutch before being taken over by Reginald Calvert in Sept 1964 and renamed Radio City.

This is a spoken intro lasting 15 seconds where the band introduce themselves, intended for use on air to introduce one of their songs. It's not recorded off air though, it's from a studio tape that also contained recordings of one of the DJ's recording announcements and jingles. Based on the other things on the tape I'd guess it's from around October 1966. This might be the oldest existing recording of Lemmy's voice, even though he only says 3 words!

"This is Lemmy, hello this is Harry, hello this is Ciggy, hello this is Mogsy, and er together we make a group known to you as The Rockin Vicars, and we're gonna ask our favourite DJ on Radio City now, we're gonna ask him to play the record so we hope you like it."

Lemmy - guitar
Harry - Harry Feeney - vocals
Ciggy - Cyril Shaw - drums
Mogsy - Stephen Morris - bass
