ELVIS COSTELLO AND THE ATTRACTIONS
BLITZKRIEG
This would have been dedicated to the way England blitzed the US .... but maybe another World Cup time !!
Recorded from my original vinyl copy, I've not seen this offered on dime before.
It's probably for diehards only as the vinyl crackles a fair bit and the recodings were originally in mono from an audience source but it does include a rare instrumental version of The Specials song "Gangster" when Elvis is attempting to save his voice. According to the excellent ECIS book "Going Through The Motions", I Stand Accused, Hand In Hand, Opportunity, Green Shirt,(I Don't Want To Go To) Chelsea,B-Movie, So Young and Oliver's Army were recorded in Paris 1st June 1979, I Can't Stand Up, Girls Talk,5ive Gears In Reverse, Clowntime Is Over, Watching The Detective,Possession and Love For Tender were recorded in Cannes 10 December 1979 and Gangsters and Human Touch from Montpelier 11th December 1979
Recorded using Sumito Black Pearl Cartridge through Michell Technodec turntable to Pioneer PDR 609 CD recorder > EAC > Goldwave to declick (not entirely successful) > FLAC
