Maximum R'n'B with this 3 CD box set from Dr Feelgood. 49 tracks including the singles, A and B sides, along with some rarer recordings from their time with UA/Liberty. All the tracks except 2 feature Lee Brilleaux on vocals.
Although Lee sadly died in 1994, Dr Feelgood are still gigging extensively and recording new albums. And long many they continue to do so!

Import only release compiles for the first time all the British pub-rock act's United Artists & Liberty singles & rarities. Disc 1, The A Sides features 17 tracks, disc 2, the B Sides also features 17 tracks & disc 3, The Rarities & Extras features 15 tracks (8 performed live).

Dr. Feelgood are a British pub rock band formed in mid 1971. The name of the band, Dr. Feelgood, is slang for heroin, or for doctors who are prepared to overprescribe drugs. In 1962 the name was originally adopted by the American blues pianist and singer Willie Perryman (also known as "Piano Red") who recorded his song "Dr. Feel-Good" under the name "Dr. Feelgood & The Interns". The song was covered by several British beat groups including Johnny Kidd & The Pirates, who used it as the B-side to their 1964 single "Always and Ever". It was this recording that influenced the band to adopt it as their name.
Best known for early singles like "Back in the Night" and "Roxette", they hailed from Canvey Island, Essex, England. They arose from the ashes of R&B bands The Fix and The Roamers. Although their most commercially productive years were the early to mid 1970s, they continue to tour and record to this day. Throughout their entire career, Dr. Feelgood never left simple, hard-driving rock & roll behind, and their devotion to the blues and R&B earned them a devoted fan base.
The group's original distinctively British R&B sound was centered on Wilko Johnson's choppy guitar style. Along with Johnson, the original band line-up comprised John B. Sparks (bass guitar), John Martin aka The Big Figure (drummer) and Lee Brilleaux (vocals).
Like many pub rock acts, Dr. Feelgood were known primarily for their high energy live performances, although studio albums such as Down by the Jetty (1974) and Malpractice (1975) were also popular. Their breakthrough 1976 live album, Stupidity, reached number one in the UK Albums Chart (their only chart-topper). But after the follow-up Sneakin' Suspicion, Johnson left the group due to perceived conflicts with Brilleaux. Despite its thriving British success, Dr. Feelgood was unable to find an audience in the United States.
