This is all I have of an EX version of this recording.

I believe the very good stereo version of this concert, that runs from 60 minutes
or so (starting from halfway through the fourth number) is either a few generations
down from the recording this was sourced from, or worse, was a deliberate downgrade.

I have been told some recordings were 'downgraded' to make copies from the source
recording more desireable in elite collecting circles. How true that is, I don't
know, but I have read about this sort of thing happening (to be fair, not just in
Bowie circles as far as I recall). certainly the murkiness of the right channel
on the longer version either suggests much tape to tape copying or downgrading.

Either way this a short EX quality version of this show as you will notice both
Panic and Rebel Rebel are edited. Part of me wonders if it was shared in some
'inner circle' type, erm, circles, as a 'taster' of a longer version (ie in this
quality, not the poorer, but still pretty good version that has been shared of late).

It's still an audience recording, and the instrumentation isn't 'crystal' clear,
but it's damn good for a 1976 recording, and true stereo - not far off Nassau for sound quality.

I will be sharing more shows soon.

CAN YOU HELP?

For some time I have been trying to track down a high quality stereo recording of the Bowie's Toronto 16 June 1974 afternoon show.

It does exist - because I had tapes of it, but unfortunately lost them.

I know that other fans have the recordings (and not in the noisy CD-R version that was shared) and benefit from torrents, Bowie pictures etc etc that are freely offered up online.

Please share if you have the original quality stereo tape of this show.

Thank you.
