Notes

Artist: The Rolling Stones
Title: Stone Age
Recorded: 1963-1966
Producer: Andrew Loog Oldham
Released: March 6, 1971
Label: Decca

Here we have volume 23 of the Russian boots. Stone Age is a compilation album. Suprisingly to me, it reached #4 on the U.K chart. The Stones were strongly against this release. In an ad in Record Mirror and NME on March 20, 1971 they stated: "We didn't know this record was going to be released. It is, in our opinion, below the standard we try to keep up, both in choice of content and cover design." Personally, I would have to disagree with that somewhat. Anyway, enjoy friends…
