Lineage:
Low-generation cassette (source unknown) -> Audacity -> CD-R -> AIFF -> FLAC

Contrast clause:
http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=495492
(above posted originally in 2009, reposted 16 June 2014)
- presumably lower-generation source (based on age of source cassette)
- wider dynamic range, fewer digital artifacts
- more balanced volume levels (L/R), no clipping
- no tape-flip gaps, including during "Radio Free Europe"
- about a minute of crowd noise between encore tracks 18 & 19 deleted
- separation of final two tracks into distinct files

History:
Cassette received originally via trade about 25 years ago - and beloved! Same recording source recently made available, digitized and cleaned-up (via Audacity), version on CD-R. A/B comparison with above contrast indicates better sound, though limited by original recording. Most significantly, no tape-flip gaps remain and peak levels (overall, and cross-channel) are more consistent. Comparisons subjective, but you be the judge! As always, this recording still is beloved. Ort!
