==About the album==

This is the rare New Zealand issue of "Beatles VI", pressed from UK Export plates.

This LP was issued in New Zealand in 1966 on the strength of the new "Bad Boy" track. It did not sell well as it duplicated tracks previously released. Some sources suggest that less than 1,000 copies of "Beatles VI" were sold over its entire 20 year existence!

==About this transfer==

This 1977 reissue is in perfect condition. You won't hear any surface noise which is more an indication of the usual top quality NZ vinyl than anything else. I have not attempted to repair the short tape dropout in "Kansas City" or the two clicks in the intro of "Every Little Thing", preferring to stay true to the original master tapes.

While I've used a 1977 copy for the transfer, I've used an original 1966 copy for the artwork. And the label...no, I have not made a typo! When this album was issued the labels titled it as "Beatles IV". This error was never corrected. The label also uses the UK spelling of "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" rather then the US spelling that's on the cover.

With the Beatles' remasters as well as the 20 million-odd Beatles needledrops already available, I was very reluctant to add more to the mix. However, this 'drop came out so well (IMHO) that I just had to share it. Plus, to my knowledge, it's the only 'drop of a UK Export copy (albeit pressed in NZ) that has been made.

Some odd things with the artwork. The cover looks very aged. That's just how the 1977 reissue cover looked.
