Tough one here. We all have the original source for this absolutely fantastic Rolling Stones performance. But if you're like me, you listened to it once and that was all. What an assault on the ears. It hurt to listen to...
This remaster is busy in a lot of directions. Here's why. Its got bass now. Its got depth. Its got life.
The soundman was not doing a very good job this day in my opinion, It actually sounds like 2 different sources at some point (I know its not).
The first 9 tracks are extremely trebly and hard to listen to. Then at Let Me Go it becomes much better. Maybe he was out for a beer? I fixed a lot of that stuff. The last 15 tracks are better than the first 9, but I bet you'll finally be able to listen to SF 1981 Day 2 more than once or twice.
Also, you can hear the local radio station, maybe KMEL (the Camel) who sponsored this show, coming through someone's wireless system off and on throughout the first 9-10 songs. That seems to get sorted out right about the time this show starts to take off!
The beginning of You Can't Always Get What You Want is missing, and all of Satisfaction is missing.
