Very fine mono sound quality (after the first song)!

As mentioned in the initial upload this is a fun, good sounding energetic opening set by the Talking Heads
opening up for The Ramones. The crowd for the opening act is small but they are obviously true TH fans
judging by their support and knowledge of the band at this early stage of their existence, as you can hear
by them requesting songs like "Warning Sign" and even anticipating songs that the band was going to play,
like when a guy shouts "Government" and David Byrne enthusiastically replies, "Yes, that's right!" right before the band launches into "Don't Worry About the Government"! So the crowd may be small but the fans witnessing this opening set were definitely Talking Heads supporters (not just people waiting for the main event, The Ramones) and it shows in the tight, energetic, fast paced 'punky' performance by the band!

{The first track Pulled Up suffers from some serious tape flaws, flanging at the start and increased hiss before the taper is able to boost and adjust his recording levels and volume for the second song. This seems to be emphasized in the ensuing transfer to digital (the flanging). I boosted the volume slightly of this song to get it closer to the overall levels of the remaining tracks. It still sounds inferior to the following songs, so if you are going to download just one song to get a taste and feel for this recording, don't make it Pulled Up! It all clears up quite nicely after that one!}

[Listed under the category of 'New Wave' even though this is pre-New Wave of course!]
