This captures James just as “Sweet Baby James” was about to be released and before his name became known to millions.

James was at Jabberwocky, a 200 seat basement club on the Syracuse University campus, for three nights in Feb 1970. On Thursday night, 2/5, he did two sets. Friday 2/6 and Saturday 2/7 were three-set nights each.
