Description This one has a few minor problems noted below. But it's not at all bad really. allsoundz promises to keep digging out those old tapes, so look for some nice Christmas presents next month. Still a few more in this batch, I'll try to get them up this week.

I forgot to say, this is in mono for some reason...allsoundz?
And anyone, fill in the blanks if you can.

This is a double whammy tape. It's the worst engineered WBCN broadcast I ever heard and there must have been a storm that night or transmitter problems because there's some radio interference. As I've commented elswhere on DAD, WBCN's engineering work on the broadcasts from Paul's Mall and the Workshop was almost uniformly superb. This tape necessitated the "almost". I have no idea what happened. Maybe their usual engineer(s) had hot dates. Anyway, the mix was not great and Roger's vocals were all in one channel. I transferred the tape in mono to fix the vocals and help the balance. I'm aware that some are of "the warts and all" transfer school here at DAD, but you'll have to trust me, it sounded awful in stereo. All in all, it's quite listenable, so don't let me scare you off.

Yes, this another Neil Cronin recording. I transferred from my reel copy of his master.

Thanks barcode for your comments. I definitely believe in getting stuff out there. even if I'm not into it anymore or maybe never was.

I've remained silent about what I think of the musical value of a couple of the recent seeds of my tapes, but no need here. This was a really good band. not particularly Byrds-like but still good.
