Pink Floyd
Analog tapes originate from Joe Ruffner's 1st gen, taper unknown.
2nd gen > DAT(?) > CDR > ?
Bad sound
Speed corrected but still some (minor) fluctuations present as well as some tape problems, for instance during first part of AHM (wow, flutter), sound quality decreases near the end (Blues). The Embryo cuts in, Fat Old Sun cuts off. An upgrade to the "Michigan 28 October 1971", no label release, which has been heavily processed and which has the tape stretches edited out. A 1st gen circulates but it seems this 2nd gen is accepted as being best sounding (for now). No other info about the source available, nor about the speed correcting process which alone makes this a big upgrade to what we had before. Sound quality goes from very good to good to fair.
