Rubber Soul - UPGRADE (Optimal Source Series)
I replaced a few songs on this upgrade. I didn't actually expect the '87 remixes (whether on the Red Album or actual Rubber Soul CD) would sound better than the remasters from the US Capitol, but in some cases they do. The Red Album has a tad better EQ than the original CDs, so I opted for that when available. Again, the versions on the songtrack still didn't cut it.
I also eliminated one of the bonus tracks. Since the US Word is basically a remix of the same version, with different stereo imaging, and since, in this series, I've basically replaced originals with remixes when that's the only difference and they sound better, I decided to just go with the US Capitol mix.
Finally, on "You Won't See Me", the US master has what sounds like damage at the very beginning (2nd cymbal hit), so I replaced the very beginning with the Disque Americ version (which is the same mix, but the Canadian master is clean).
BTW: On my CD version of this, I burned track 15 before 10. It's a little weird to have the UK RS with the US ILTY, but I like it.
