As 1991 progressed The Posies began to beef up their sound add new songs to their setlist. A result of being on the road with the rough-and-tumble Replacements? Or maybe feeling their raw oats? I've never got a satisfactory explanation from either Posie frontman as to why their music began to get mightier. You won't find the Frosting On the Beater Posies quite yet at this stage but it's beginning to happen. You've got a soundboard cassette here from the Mike Musburger collection. His cassette to my CD recorder direct. Lots of songs from the first album presented in probably the most confident manner heard at that point. Plus we got one song from what will become the Posies' only unreleased album (to be recorded later that year) and a great cover of The Damned.
