Stunning album from a severely original man (and his wife ) pretending to be a Pharaoh!!!! The real gift of this strange and absolutely beautiful fold-out artwork sleeve is that the back-up musicians are the members of 10CC "au grand complet, SVP!" and this shows! This might well be the best 10CC album ever!

As you could guess from the artwork and title we are in space-rock psychadelics and this album is awesome and can still be very much enjoyed today although some of those ambiances are nowe dated. But the album is not only psychadelic but also very folksy with splendid acoustical ballads and flawless hummable melodies and striking lyrics . Life Child and Quasar One, Molecular Delusion and Balloon are the highlights.

This album came out a few years before the first 10CC album but holds every pop characteristics of their classic albums! Stewart , Creme , Godley and Gouldman are absolutely grandiose backing up the hysteric Ramases charaters greatly underlining his dramatic and histrionic rantings!

A real must for anybody looking for something different! Too bad as Ronny points out in the specs sheet above that there are so many different re-issues and to choose one is difficult. I have the Repertoire CD (with bonus tracks of two singles taken from the albums and those versions are weirder than the Lp version which is odd choice if you are making a single ) and I would love to be able to compare with other issue (to my knowledge the second album has never released as a CD and those bonus tracks are from that one) and the original vinyl but this last one is now very rare and will set you back $$$$$$. Might just be worth it though , if you like this!
