The Beatles first album was actually recorded in Hamburg, Germany, with Tony Sheridan. Stu had left to study art and Pete was still the drummer. Eight recordings were made, but only "Ain't She Sweet" and "Cry For A Shadow" were true Beatles recordings. "Cry For A Shadow" is the only Lennon/Harrison composition in existence.

This rare recording was made at the Cavern Club in Liverpool during a Gene Vincent show. The story goes that Gene asked The Beatles to join him on stage for a few numbers. This is the only song known to have survived from that evening's program.
