Notes

Sound Quality: A very good recording taped either from the soundboard or right on the stage, but only of the last half of the show.

Song List: The Acid Queen (cuts in), Pinball Wizard, Do You Think It's Alright, Fiddle About, Tommy Can You Hear Me, There's a Doctor, Go to the Mirror, Smash the Mirror, Miracle Cure, Sally Simpson, I'm Free, Tommy's Holiday Camp, We're Not Gonna Take It, Summertime Blues, Shakin' All Over, My Generation.

Details: The band is very loose for their first U.K. show since the North American tour and the playing is at its typical level for this period. The rock opera flows nicely and they run through the usual post-Tommy numbers effectively, although 'My Generation' isn't one of the best. The recording gives you the feeling that you're standing amidst the group—in addition to being able to clearly hear the excellent Entwistle/Moon rhythm work, you can also make out some humorous comments from the stage. There's also an amusing interval in which Townshend politely heckles an audience member—apparently, the miscreant exposed his posterior to the band as a show of disapproval for something or other.

This show is repeatedly interrupted by a drunk in the crowd, who threw a smoke bomb on the stage, among other antics. After much taunting from the heckler, Pete responds "We're gonna play a song called "Summertime Blues" which will definately drown you out!" A fun show, 45 minutes.
