The group was disbanded, but at least two bootleg live albums (drawn from live FM radio broadcasts along its last tour) were circulating, and it was obvious there was some kind of audience, so USA was released. The performances are good, though The Great Deceiver box proved there was better material and there were better ways of treating these tapes. Eddie Jobson subs for David Cross on the violin on several of these cuts. [The 2002 expanded edition also includes "Fracture" and "Starless."]
