Audience recording, from a cassette source.
It originally came out on a double-lp bootleg records, with a plain black cover w/ green lettering. It is an audience recording, but pretty good sounding, considering the source, the venue, the band, and the size of the audience (or lack there of...). The band is still early in their development and a bit more raw (yes, more raw)...while I totally love Miriam and her drumming in the Zantees & A-Bones, and Norton Records, etc..., it was clear that she learned how to drum just to play in this band (or at least, not too long before they brought her in after Pam Balam). The line-up: Lux Interior-vox, Poison Ivy Rorschach-guitar, Bryan Gregory-guitar, Miriam Linna-drums. Also, this is a two-set recording. Should be able to fit on one disc, too. Other things worth mentioning...the sets show that The Cramps started playing some covers that they did thru the early 80s very early on...the sets do repeat themselves a bit but have a couple of extra tunes...some of those covers that persisted in their sets also eventually showed up on 'Psychedelic Jungle' but with two different members than on this recording...Miriam would leave the band soon after this (this could've been one of the last shows with her)...and, last but not least, Nick Knox would join them and they would record with him for the first time in less than 4/5 months from this date.
