For The Mops this is unique album - in no ones of their works the hadn't came closer for such hard sound, distinct and harmonious like in this album. The main hit of the album - titled track - is well-known, it also consists in reissued their debut album "Psychedelic Sounds In Japan". The basic of the album cool and quality hard rock on solid bluesy foundation. And the viscous riff of track "Town Where I Was Born" can be used in in Black Sabbath's album of that days (vocal manere is far away from Ozzy's). "Nobody Cares" was greatly performed dramatic ballad as like middle tempo "To My Sons" with shrill horn solo.

The only song, which was performed in typical Mops' jam manere was "Gekko Kamen", this is also the only song which was sang in Japanese in this album. After again hard blues "Psychedelic Sounds In Japan" the disc is ending with sympho-prog "Alone" with a touch of orchestra, but no orcheatra at all here. And 1971 was a greatest year for Japanese hard rock!

The released their third album in the year that was Japan's triumphant time to shine, 1971 (according to Julian Cope's Japrocksampler.com.) This is a solid journey through Heavy Psych, Garage, Folk and Blues.

Often overlooked, The Mops were a band that obviously emulated the U.S. hippie scene (Jefferson Airplane) as well as the UK heavy rock scene (Black Sabbath) but did it with their own charismatic personality. At times acidic, epic and gritty; and at other times over the top with its campy heartwarming tenderness, Iijanaika runs the gamut of historically strange Japanese musical affinities.
