From Doc E: “The word “stereo” is just about as inappropriate as it can be here. The entire LP, save for two tracks, is in mono. The album sounds great – better than the official mono release – but mono nonetheless. The two songs in stereo are “Please Mister Postman” (a narrower mix) and “You Can’t Do That.”
Doc E continues: "To my knowledge, there are no "hybrid" versions of this so-called "stereo" LP. This is, in fact, the way it was released in total. I've asked many Beatle people along the line and that seems to be the consensus. It is included in the Ebbetts catalogue for completeness and because the fidelity is better on these recording than the original Canadian mono LPs.(Plus the requests were overwhelming to get this done)."
For those of you who are really observant please note that, while this LP is designated as "ST6063", the front & back inserts shown here carry the mono designation "T6063". This is apparently what the actual LP covers have on them. Doc kept them that way for authenticity
