Notes

San Francisco

The last night of the American tour from audience cassette masters, recorded from the railing of the balcony (stage left side). Decent sound quality - check the samples to judge for yourself how it sounds.

Linda sounds a bit weary when she talks and misses a vocal entry in Bright Lights Tonight, but overall I think that these are really good shows. There is actually quite a bit of joking around that disguises the tenseness of this rough tour and the end of Richard & Linda as a couple. They were at least trying to play well - they repeat I'm a Dreamer at the late show, hoping to record a better version than it had been in the early show. That indicates that they actually hoped to use the tapes from this tour - an interesting concept considering that these were to be the last perfomances of the band.
