Notes

Hound Dog Moses
Live At The Dream Musuem 4.28.72
Champaign, Illinois

Soundboard, taken straight from a leadered reel-actually, two-for what might have been a proposed live album. Nothing came of it, but there's a lot of very cool, long jamming on this. Very much Allmanesque, with some vocals but the bulk of it long, stony playing. I don't know if the band always gets where they want to go, but it's fun traveling with them.

Recovered from a batch of discarded reels locally, far far away from the band's home state a few years ago. I can only assume one of the members moved here, but just getting the information I have here was tough. I hope and pray someone comes forth with more knowledge. If I was still in the label biz, this is something I'd love to put out.

Some volume balancing on a few songs (one channel lower than the other) but otherwise pretty straight forward. Nothing kicks like uncompressed bass and drums. This sounds great! I would put tracks 1-4 on disc one, and 5-8 on disc two. No titles were on the box, so no help there.

1. 29.40
2. 15.36
3. 8.53
4. 10.52
5. 5.11
6. 6.20
7. 3.21
8. 29.54

According to http://www.cryanshames.com/members2.html James Fairs was in this band as well as the Greg Allman Band, played with Muddy Waters, Pearls Before Swine, and others. That's the extent I've been able to find who played in this group.
