From Gateshead, Short had earlier played in Black Cat Bones. This was a favourite album of mine on vinyl in the early 70's. This copy has made my year. The whole album really does stand the test of time, and it still sounds like it should be classed as Wings before Wings, if you see what I mean! Great musicality, great lyrics, great variety, topped off by a great voice. I've never understood why Brian Short never achieved great acclaim. On the strength of this album alone, he really deserved it! [Amazon.com]
