Went to NYC during the CMJ marathon to see if we could score some scalped tix for Iggy Pop at the old downtown Ritz. None to be had. We noticed a poster for the Johnny Thunders gig, wondered when it had been, then realized it was that same night! Found some discount flyers and went uptown to see the concert. Johnny was sloppy as usual, but what fortune to have happened upon this gig and get to record it for posterity.
