audience

Comments: Probably the best acoustic Peter Himmelman show I have seen (out of 10 or so over the last decade); This show is a perfect showcase of both his fine songwriting and excellent performing skills -- this is an excellent performance from start to finish.

Some background - he was booked on a Saturday night by a new management company who was unaware that as a devout Jew, he could not perform (or even leave his hotel room) until after sundown . . . . it being early June, sundown was well after the scheduled 8:00 start time. By the time he came onstage at 9:45, the audience was surly and impatient -- and he responded by performing a set that was well beyond any other show I've seen him do.

Nearly half of the set was unreleased material (and rarely or never performed live). If you've been curious about Himmelman's reputation as a live performer, this is the best acoustic show you'll find.
