solo as "The Pope of Pop"
Choka Doobie Club at Portlands,
Great Portland St
audience recording.
This is a very noisy crowd and unfortunately the recording is spoiled through the constant chatter. However, this gig is unusual, Elvis was billed as The Pope of Pop and played a short set on opening night for a night club venture in the basement of 'Portlands' in central London. Apparently he took to the stage around midnight and it certainly sounds like the crowd had made several visits to the bar before Elvis' set.
