The Trash Cowboys had an extended weekly gig at Continental Divide in 1989 and shortly after this summer date, they became known as the Ugly Americans. The Ugly Americans did not record but did appear on the Jerry Lewis Telethon in 1989.

The additional Trash Cowboys included Bernie Ray on sax and Graham May on bass. Track 14 features Walter Lure on guitar.
