WNEW FM 102.7
The sound isn't great at first but it's much cleaner by the time you get
to (yes!) CUBAN SLIDE.
The 1980 set is cool and raw with a noisy small venue crowd, as you'd
expect, the vocals are a little hot, the bass is flat, the drums are
buried, and the guitar sound is kinda muddy, but Chrissie sounds glorious.
As usual, they never play anything exactly the same way.
a side note, this broadcast is CENSORED. unlike the Santa Monica show I
posted earlier (where you can clearly hear Chrissie say "Fuck off!" during
"Precious") they flip the expletives around backward listen to "Cuban
Slide" at 3:23 ... she says "OH TIHS!"
