When Edsel Records reissued the T. Rex catalog with bonus tracks in 1994, they also began releasing alternate versions of each of T. Rex's albums, compiled from alternate takes and demos of the finished records, as well as adding alternate versions of the B-sides. Rabbit Fighter: The Alternate Slider was the first in the series, and it reveals the depths of Marc Bolan's musical vision, as all of the arrangements of the final album were already sketched out on the demo tapes. Casual fans might find Rabbit Fighter tedious, but it's a gold mine for dedicated followers.
