35 plus years after The Who formed in London, revered songwriter Pete Townshend sets a few things straight about classics like "Behind Blue Eyes" and "Won't Get Fooled Again." While most people assume the latter refers to shady politicians and their rhetoric, Townshend says he was actually talking about self-deception and other "vapid" thought processes by which people become trapped in themselves. This was just one of many songs whose original meaning got absorbed by the forceful personalities that made up his band, he notes, but "whenever I sing it it feels like the song I wrote." In an intimate Storytellers setting ("Kinda like playing in my living room," he quips at one point) the legendary rocker and a talented associates give new meaning to the term "classic rock" - without breaking any guitars!
