This is a great show by Richard Manuel of The Band. He died in March 1986 three months after this show.
One of the greatest voices in the history of rock and roll. This concert was probably an aud recording at Woodstock NY.
Real intimate show in a small venue..just him and a piano.
3 bonus tracks from 1961 as the "Rockin Revols" prior to hooking up with what later would become The Band.
Rockin' Revols demo recording, with Richard Manuel on lead vocals. The Rockin' Revols from Stratford, Ontario, were Richard Manuel's first group. Richard joined them as pianist and lead singer in 1957, together with his friend and drummer Jimmy Winkler. Other members were John Till and Garth Picot on guitar, Ken Kalmusky on bass and singer Doug Rhodes. Only a few demo recordings with the Revols exist. Richard Manuel and John Till wrote "My Eternal Love" in Richard's living room in 1957. It was recorded at CKSL Radio studios in London Ontario. There are two more songs from that session., a tune Richard wrote called "Promise Yourself" and an instrumental Richard played of a rock and roll version of the classical song "Liebestraum"
