This is a definitive 20-song collection of Roger McGuinn's solo work for Columbia following the breakup of The Byrds in 1973. The LPs Roger McGuinn, Peace on You, Roger McGuinn and Band and Thunderbyrd are long out of print, but their highlights are all collected here for the first time in this long overdue collection. Guests throughout include David Crosby, Bob Dylan, Mick Ronson, Buddy Emmons, Rob Stoner, and Howie Wyeth. Songs include "My New Woman," "The Water Is Wide," "Lover of the Bayou," as well as Dylan's "Up to Me" and Tom Petty's "American Girl" — which is ironic, as it is McGuinn covering Petty who is basically covering McGuinn to begin with.
