Byrds - Reunion '89 - Legally Live
Roger McGuinn, Chris Hillman & David Crosby
These were consecutive nights when they were trying to re-establish their legal ownership of the name "The Byrds". I don't remember if Michael Clarke was still alive at this point, using the name "The Byrds", or if he had died and his manager had taken over the name and employed five guts with no direct connection to the real Byrds to perform under the name. They lost, but rumor has it that eventually David Crosby bought the rights so no one else could besmirch the reputation of a great band, and the surviving three have not seen fit to perform together [gossip, gossip, gossip ;-)]
