Brent's Bootlegs:

This is the best of the three known recordings from the "Fly By Night" tour. This is the only one of the three where they played a full setlist beginning to end. And, thirdly, the quality is very good. Audience, of course. Possibly an FM show. it’s a hometown show, so the crowd is into it. It features pretty much the songs one would expect, but the relatively rare takes of a full "Fly By Night" and "Beneath, Between, & Behind" are nice treats. A solid early show. Great for it’s age. This bootleg could have been outstanding, but a slight lack of fidelity prevented that. Still, If you are wanting a show from the FBN tour, then this is the one to get. A must for the old Rush lover.

Ben:

Starts off a bit distorted but gets better throughout the first few tunes and sounds great considering the age of this recording! Purported to be the show that is pictured on the inner sleeve of the Caress of Steel album. This show was recorded within the same venue as All The Worlds a Stage, but a year earlier. This is great early Rush and is a very listenable and enjoyable show! Not much crowd noise to get in the way, however the taper and his friends make cracks in between tunes. (but actually seem to be enjoying the show despite their requests for Bowie tunes???) About the only real problem with this show is that there is a bit of hiss and a few distortion problems, but otherwise nothing awful! (except for a piece of digital "noise" that scares the crap out of you at the beginning of Working Man!!! Could be my copy only, but it's a minor annoyance and only happens once!)

This is pure, no holds barred power trio Rush! The stuff that you may be lucky enough to hear in a medley these days! (but not very likely) Probably one of the fastest and meanest By-Tor's I've ever heard! (Listen to Neil's fills on this one!) I can only say that you need this show in your collection for the historic value and that it's one of the best documents of early Rush!

Nate Hertzog:

Hmmm...Another Prism release with clicks between the tracks. This is really getting irritating. One of very few shows available from 1975, this one isn't perfect, but it's certainly quite listenable and enjoyable. Also one of the few recordings of the full B,B,&B.

Bill Girton:

This is a very good audience recording. All the instruments come through great and the recording has a lot of power behind it. The band gives a wonderful performance. The first few songs are not as clear as the rest of the show, but even these are not bad. Geddy kicks ass both on bass and his voice. Neil is Neil and Alex, though a little sloppy, sounds great. Overall a show that I highly recommend.
