Outtakes from Elliott Smith's final album, as well as earlier demos, began circulating on the Internet this week.
The collection, dubbed From a Basement on the Hill II, collects 22 outtakes from Smith's career. Many are tracks that didn't make it onto his final album, From a Basement on the Hill (Anti-) (read Aversion's review), such as the ominously titled "Suicide Machine" and "Abuse." Other cuts probably date back to 1996. In all, 22 leaked tracks hit the Internet. No plans to release the songs commercially have been released.
