The month of March 1970 must have been wild for Arthur Lee and Love! At sometime during the month of March, they jammed in the studio with Jimi. These sessions apparently were put onto an acetate, which AL brought into a radio station at a later date. The acetate was played over the air,and the radio transmission was recorded with amateur equipment, which accounts for the sound quality. It's possible that is Arthur Lee's voiceover fragment at the very beginning of Midnight Sun. There are eight tracks in all.

The material is quite interesting, and lives up to the hype about it. If it were possible to say so, I'd call it a mind-meld between the two artists.
