After a rough start at the beginning of the tour because of the backing tapes malfunctioning and in turn making the band out of sync at times on stage, many songs from Quadrophenia were dropped. But, by this time of the tour The Who were now polished and would play with more fury than ever ! And could once again improvise on stage by a whim like the band fans had known them to be and that's the "greatest fucking live rock 'n' roll band" there ever was.
The Who barely made it in time for this show from getting arrested for throwing a party from the night before in Montreal.
Get ready for a Quadrophonic storm ! and this is evident by taking a listen to such songs like the magnum opus of; "Doctor Jimmy" as Keith Moon does some thunderous and lightening quick drum rolls and Roger Daltrey just sounds incredible during; "Love, Reign O'er Me". This is an histrical show in The Who's concert archive,, this isn't a fucking Boston tea party,,,this,,,,is Quadrophenia night in Boston !!
