BobTalk

Thank you. That was Alan Pasqua on the organ, Steve Douglas on the tenor saxophone. I wanna say hello tonight to Sylvia Rich who also knows about the north country. (after Girl From The North Country)

This is a song I got booed for at the Newport Folk Festival called I Ain’t Gonna Work On Maggie’s Farm No More. (….).

We’re gonna take a break here. We’re just gonna take a short break (…..) fix the equipment. This is a new song, we’ve never played it before, we’ll try to play it for you (…..). (before Love You Too Much)

Thank you. All right, we’ll take a break for sure after this one. I recorded it with The Band a little while back on an album called Planet Waves. (before Going Going Gone)

This is a new song I wrote called Am I Your Stepchild.

Thank you. This next song, I wrote it on a train ride. I did go one time to Monterey (…..). Anyway, I took a train from Monterey to San Diego. (before Señor (Tales of Yankee Power))

Thank you. It was Masters Of War, that was Billy Cross on the lead guitar.

Thank you. This is a new song (…..) a while back. We’re gonna play it for you anyway. (before Baby Stop Crying)

That was All Along The Watchtower, that was David Mansfield on the violin.

Thank you. You’re a beautiful crowd tonight. I wanna introduce you to the band. On the drums, give him a warm round of applause, from England, Ian Wallace. On bass guitar, electric bass guitar, Mr. Jerry Scheff. On the keyboards, Alan Pasqua. On the electric lead guitar, a brilliant guitar player, Mr. Billy Cross. You know that right there the newspapers are writing about his hair. All right. On the conga drums, from Detroit, Bobbye Hall. On the rhythm guitar tonight, from Tombstone, Arizona, please give him a warm round of applause, Mr. Steve Soles. It's hard to get a smile out of that. All right. On the violin and the mandolin, you know him, he's been around before. Doesn’t smoke dope or go out with women. That's why he's so good. All right. David Mansfield. On the tenor saxophone, Steve Douglas. On the backup vocals tonight, three very beautiful young ladies. I discovered them singing in a supermarket in California. On the right my cousin, Jo Ann Harris. On the left, Miss Carolyn Dennis. And in the middle, my very good friend, Helena Springs. None of these girls are available, however. This is called It’s Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding.

All right, we’re gonna say goodnight now. This is a tune I wrote with The Band, recorded on an album called Planet Waves. (before Forever Young)
