For those of you who may collect such information, this show took place very late as the Stones had to be bailed out of jail in Providence! Fog had forced the Stones plane to land in Rhode Island, and apparently some media got wind of it, and wanted soem pictures, which Mick & the boys didn't want. When one of them snapped a pix, Mick gave the guy a wack! Off to the slam with the lot of em, as Providence police were in no mood for such antics. Meanwhile back in Boston, there were riots going on in sections of the city. Fans became antsy waiting for the Stones. Unaware they were in jail in Providence. Then Boston Mayor Kevin White had to get on stage and beg the crowd to stay calm till he got to Providence to free the Stones! Well Kevin sprung the band and well after midnight they took the stage! The whole story of this show and the entire 1972 tour is in the Book STP( Rolling Stones Touring Party)72. Good show to boot. I mean they could have dogged it for being busted. That and the fact while in jail, Mick signed a few autographs for what turned out to be guys in there for forgery!
