There has been confusion over just what exactly which recordings match which dates for the 12/28/78, 12/29/78, and 1/3/79 Lyceum shows. With the release of From Here to Eternity we have learned that the source tape used for that record and the Rude Boy soundtrack is officially considered to be 12/28/78. The Sort It Out CD gives that date for all but the final two songs above, which it sources as 12/29/78. I have called the show found on these bootlegs 12/28/78, but it is in fact different from the other source tape, and thus I am now inclined to call it 1/3/79. Whatever it's date, this is an extraordinary show and one of the above titles should be sought out. The Sort It Out CD is slightly the best. But on any of the three you will get a very good for it's time audience recording and one of the best examples of live Clash. The Sort It Out LP cuts out "Jail Guitar Doors", "Stay Free", "Police and Thieves", "Janie Jones", and "Garageland", and mixes the order of the other tracks somewhat. USA 1979 leaves off "London's Burning" and "White Riot".
